Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a great way to develop skills and work on personal goals for your mental health. Therapy can be tailored to your personal needs including different treatment types and level of engagement with the therapy animals. We can also provide treatment for dog phobias in individual settings.

At present we provide individual therapy to private clients, clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral and NDIS plan-managed and self-managed clients. Please contact us for fees and availability.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a great way to develop skills for your mental health in a supported environment. Often the group therapy format can support the practise of skills that can only be achieved though working with others, and can make therapy seem less clinical.

Completing a social skills group with the incorporation of a therapy animal allows clients to experience tangible examples of these life skills in real time.

Brain Bugs is a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based group program for children ages 9-13. The program aims to teach clients to understand and manage their anxiety more effectively. Clients will complete activities with a therapy dog as a way of practising and learning how to identify different types of automatic negative thoughts that could be contributing to their anxiety. The program will help them develop ways to challenge these thoughts to better manage anxiety. Children will also learn different coping strategies such as mindfulness and breathing throughout this program.
